Description

We have an opportunity with a leading oil producer. As the sole operator of a major field my client are engaged in one of the world's most prestigious operations. The focus is on increasing their already substantial current BOEPD rate by over 30% in 2009. To this end the client are concentrating on using cutting edge technologies whilst planning to drill in excess of another 100 wells. The operation is all offshore.

Clearly the business are seeking to engage a seasoned professional, a post graduation experience of a minimum ten years is essential. This role is titled Senior Drilling Engineer, but effectively the function will be to support and act as right hand man to the Drilling Manager. You will write the drilling programmes, mentor the more junior engineers, work on preparing the budget, liaise with the legal functions and give cost analysis on proposed campaigns. This is the ideal stepping stone to a more senior position and has huge scope. This is a position for a candidate who is focused on joining a business for the long haul, for someone who is ready to commit and move their career to the next level.
