Brief client details: Our client, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies is looking for Senior Reservoir Engineer for their Aberdeen office.
Overview:
You will serve an important role in the Subsurface Team. The main responsibility will be reservoir engineering support for two of the client's fields. Responsibilities will also include the development and technical analyses of field reservoir management plans, reservoir simulation, reserve estimation and project implementation.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for two of the client's fields. One is a black oil field and currently has approximately 15 producing wells. The other is also a black oil field, but is developed with subsea and extended reach platform wells. It currently has 3 production wells. Together they currently produce about 10,000 bbl/d (gross) and associated gas. You will be responsible for providing direct support in terms of production forecasting, reserve analysis, reservoir management and project analysis.
You will actively contribute to one of the fields "opportunity hopper" studies, which is currently on-going, that seeks to define a number of value creating, and rapidly implemented, development opportunities by optimizing the reservoir management. You will lead or assist multi-discipline reservoir studies of other existing black-oil, gas-condensate and dry-gas fields in the UK, Norway and Ireland to optimize value.
You will utilize stochastic analysis to characterize production profile, reserve and project economic uncertainty and risk.
You will prepare and deliver technical presentations for management reviews, peer reviews and technical committee meetings.
Job requirements and qualifications:
Degree; Bachelors and/or masters - Petroleum Engineering or related field
Working knowledge of MS Office applications and Subsurface applications including Eclipse, Saphir, M-Bal, Gap. Understanding of stochastic analyses helpful.
Strong experience working as a reservoir engineer.

The successful candidate will have future opportunities to manage other properties in the UK, Norway and/or Ireland as well as evaluation of international exploration and business development prospects.
Salary: market rates (dependent upon current experience)
