PetroMod petroleum systems modeling software combines seismic, well, and geological information to model the evolution of a sedimentary basin. The software predicts if, and how, a reservoir has been charged with hydrocarbons, including the source and timing of hydrocarbon generation, migration routes, quantities, and hydrocarbon type in the subsurface or at surface conditions.

Release Details

PetroMod 2013.1 software combines geophysical and petrophysical data with geological knowledge to model the evolution of a petroleum system in a modern, user-friendly work environment.
The combination of a state-of-the-art user interface and high-speed simulation performance supports sophisticated analytical workflows of the dynamic temperature, pressure and migration history of complex geological systems in a fast and intuitive, process-focused workflow.

The unification of the 2D and 3D model builders and new viewer capabilities enable swift switching between 2D and 3D model setup and analysis, saving time and cost.
Petrel 2013 simple grids including facies properties and stratigraphy can be directly transferred to a connected PetroMod 2013 project. After simulation, Petrel 2013 has direct access to PetroMod 2013 output data.
