I gave some comments in this meeting, my viewpoints:
(1) For now, CO2 capture cost is too high; we need to develop practical capture technologies.
(2) CCS risk evaluation and CO2 leakage monitoring are very significantly because the risk and monitoring occur in each link of CO2 capture, transportation and storage.
(3) We need a strong support from Government, Enterprises, Communities and the public to implement CCS in the world.
(4) We need to distinguish from CO2 capture and geological sequestration (CCS) and CO2 capture and Utilization Storage (CCUS) because CCS is a non-benefits, and one can gain benefits from CCUS such as CO2 for EOR, CO2 for food, CO2 for material, it is an attractive project.
(5) We need to establish CCS technology standards for CCS operation in each link.
(6) We need to build CCS policy, regulations and laws.
(7) We need to let the people to understand CCS, raise their awareness and acceptances.
(8) We need to build a reasonable finance mechanism.
(9) Clean air task belongs to all humans; therefore, technology transfer must have favorable terms.
(10) CCS will be divided into three levels, one level is government, two is the public, and three is enterprises.
Finally, a big question is: CO2 geological sequestration project has a certain life, if the project will finish, where can we store CO2?
