Foundation CMG
Founded in 1978, CMG Reservoir Simulation Foundation (Foundation CMG) promotes and financially supports research & development and students through research grants at universities and industry research centers. The mandate is to investigate leading edge research and innovation in oil and gas reservoir modelling. Foundation CMG has a rich history of over 30 years working in 25 countries around the world.
Our Plan

• Stewardship of Foundation CMG Investments
• Establish 18 Research Chairs with outstanding researchers at distinguished universities
• Approximately 500 faculty and student researchers focused at improving the technology and application
• Monitor and disseminate information from research
• Undertaking a $700 million, 25 year initiative
  

Organization

Oil & Gas companies become Members of Foundation CMG. Their senior level technical persons participate to steer the research projects. The reason companies become members is to increase recovery economics by having access to outstanding graduates and research to handle ever increasing complex recovery schemes.

• Each Member appoints 2 representatives (Primary & Alternate)
• Represent member with liaison & official votes
• General Members (Commercial Companies)
• Special Members (Universities and Non-Profit Research Centres)
• Board of Directors (up to 16, majority from Member organizations)
• President and CEO (Responsible for Operations and Administration)
