1. JOB IDENTIFICATION
2. JOB PURPOSE
To be the focal point within China for new and existing customers for all the company product lines. To follow enquiries through the initial design phase to installation and after sales service / end of well report. To plan, organise and implement sales programs for China and to be responsible for achieving sales objectives in the region. To train, develop, and mentor inside and/or outside sales representatives or distributors for the region and to oversee key accounts. To help prepare and coordinate budgets, forecasts, and reports. 3. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
4. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBLIITIES
· Collation of financial information regarding all sales and supply chain activities. Timely (monthly) reporting on sales, forecasts, budgets and expenses 5. KEY ACTIVITIES
· Market and sell products and/or services. Develop relationships with new and existing customers and provide information to maximise sales volume. Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction · Evaluate and process quotations for all operations within China and maintain relevant documentation as required e.g. quotation numbering, orders and logistical documents · In partnership with the VP for the region and the marketing manager: preparation and coordination of an annual sales & marketing plan for the region, including but not limited to target customers, exhibitions, conferences and workshops. Provide and report the necessary market intelligence for the region, i.e. market potential, expected tenders, sales pipeline, competitor activities. Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance · Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin · Develop and deliver proposal presentations and tender responses · Technical support for clients and Region VP · Co-ordinate design requirements through engineering ensuring the correct feasibility of all quotations and attainment of customer requirements · Technical authorship on The company products and services 6. INDIVIDUAL QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment · Review, understand and comply with The company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy, Manual, Procedures or other related documentation · Uphold the responsibilities as detailed in the Quality Policy, Manual, Procedures or other related documentation · Communicate to any relevant Manager any perceived non-conformances or faults in the Quality or HSE Management System 7. QUALIFICATIONS
Essential: Requires a 4 year degree and 3-5 years relevant experience or equivalent Preferred: Degree in Well Engineering or Drilling 8. EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Essential: Show a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements Willing to travel and ability to easily adapt to work in a global, multi-cultural team of professionals Demonstrate good communication skills Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment, as well as an ability to work unsupervised and exercise initiative to resolve potential problems and implement improvements Demonstrate an understanding of mechanical engineering principles Demonstrate a strong ability under pressure to meet client delivery expectations Must demonstrate an ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources, and the ability to plan, control, and take responsibility for own work Must demonstrate competency in all IT application tools but especially word and excel Preferred: Experience in oilfield technologies especially completion and/or drilling techniques 9. PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Must be a self starter as well as a team player with good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, especially towards customers
- Must demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of the job role and have a desire to build & maintain high level of professional relationships with colleagues and clients
