TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE MULTICORE/MULTIPROCESSORS COMPUTERS FOR RESERVOIR SIMULATION
As we all have seen now days the computers are becoming more and more powerful, so as our applications. If you are having one of these multicore/multiprocessors computers and enough licenses to run your reservoir simulation, this document will describes you the way to set it up and take the most out of your computer.
It will also help you to practice the configuration of Parallel licenses for your clients and later be more confident when doing your support visits.
It is to be note that depending on the case you are running you need to judge what the best way to run it is.
This paper just tells you the way on how to do the setting up to make it happen.
What do you need?
Let us assume you are having a dual core computer, so you will need:
Schlumberger Private
1 Eclipse licenses
2 Eclipse Parallel licenses
MPI software
How can I plug everything together?
1. Install MPI
2. Define where are you going to run your simulations
MPI Configuration
You can find this package on the Eclipse software installation. It belongs to the third parties software embedded with the installation.
While you have it install it will create a new program on your computer, you will find it under the Verari Systems. Then go to MIP Pro and click on password registration.
Try to use the same password you use to login on your computer

软件手册里有详细说明，帖子中教程适用于2008及以前版哦
