刚刚看到同事给发来的一个英文小段子，将斯伦贝谢测井工程师的生活与妓女做了比较，挺有意思，特地翻译过来分享给大家，有翻得不妥的地方请多包涵：
They work base on very weird schedules…just like prostitutes …
他们的作息时间很特别。。。就像妓女一样。。。
They are paid to maintain a happy client… just like prostitutes …
他们的被雇来取悦客户。。。就像妓女一样。。。
The client pays a lot, but the boss takes almost all the money... just like prostitutes …
客户给他们付很多钱，但是钱基本都被老板揩掉了。。。就像妓女一样。。。
The client always wants to pay less and receive wonders… just like prostitutes …
客户总是想付很少的钱得到很强的满足感。。。就像妓女一样。。。
For them it is difficult to have a family… just like prostitutes …
对他们而言维系一个家庭是很难的一件事。。。就像妓女一样。。。
When they are asked about their job, they can’t explain it… just like prostitutes …
当人们问起他们是干什么的时候，他们无法解释。。。就像妓女一样。。。
Most of the times , and whenever they are on the field, they are asked to start working after midnight… just like prostitutes …
大多数的时候，当他们在现场工作的时候，他们总是得半夜开工。。。就像妓女一样。。。
They RIDE many things( Planes, cars, helicopters and boats) to get the job done…they are always riding… just like prostitutes …
他们总是处于“骑乘位”，需要乘坐不同的交通工具上井干活，“骑”是他们工作永恒的主题。。。就像妓女一样。。。
They are always on call and should always answer their phones, and if they don’t they get shit… just like prostitutes …
他们总是处于等待服务的状态，必须随时接起电话，如果不接的话后果很严重，客户很生气。。。就像妓女一样。。。
They are always award for satisfying the client with wonders… just like prostitutes …
他们总是能够因为让客户开心到家而得到额外的奖励。。。就像妓女一样。。。
They sleep on different beds every time they go on a job… just like prostitutes …
他们每次干活时候都睡不同的床。。。就像妓女一样。。。
And whenever they don’t find a bed to sleep on, they sleep in the back seat of a car… just like prostitutes …
如果他们找不到床的话，就睡汽车后座。。。就像妓女一样。。。
And last but not least…
最后。。。
Every morning when they wake up they say, “I am not going to do this all my life” … just like prostitutes …
每天早上他们起床的时候说“我他妈的不会一辈子都干这破活”。。。就像妓女一样。。。
